A Japanese head spa treatment is a luxurious and therapeutic experience designed to promote relaxation, improve scalp health, enhance hair quality and improve wellbeing. This treatment is a blend of traditional Japanese practices and modern hair care techniques, offering a comprehensive approach to scalp and hair wellness. Consultation The treatment begins with a thorough consultation to assess the client's scalp and hair condition. 2. Scalp Cleansing The first step in the treatment involves deep cleansing of the scalp to remove dirt, excess oil, and product buildup. A gentle yet effective scalp shampoo is used, containing natural ingredients. 3. Scalp Exfoliation To further purify the scalp, a gentle exfoliant is applied. This helps to remove dead skin cells and unclog hair follicles, promoting better circulation and healthier hair growth. 4. Massage One of the most relaxing and beneficial parts of the treatment is the scalp massage. The therapist uses a combination of techniques, including acupressure, kneading, and circular motions using various tools, to stimulate blood flow and release tension. This massage extends to the neck and shoulders, enhancing overall relaxation and well-being. 5. Steam Treatment A warm steam treatment is applied to open up the pores on the scalp, allowing for deeper penetration of nourishing products. This step helps to hydrate the scalp and improve the absorption of subsequent treatments. 6. Hair Mask or Treatment Application A customised hair mask or treatment is applied based on the client's specific needs. This could be for hydration, strengthening, or repairing damaged hair. 7. Rinse and Conditioning The hair is thoroughly rinsed, and a conditioning treatment is applied to seal in moisture and add shine. The conditioner is often left on for a few minutes to maximize its effectiveness. 9. Blow-Dry and Styling We do not recommend blow drying after the treatment and will provide a hair turban for you to go home in. However, if you would prefer your hair to be dried, we do have a hair dryer for use.
